Want to Delete the Social Media World?

Want to Delete the Social Media World you are in? There are times I have wanted to drive to the beach and throw my laptop and cell phone in the ocean. Then just sit and listen to the roar of the ocean as it swallows up the noise. Listening as the constant ping noise of notifications from across the social graph transforms into a simple refreshing ocean mist. The waves ripping apart the newsfeeds that contain a roller coaster of emotions from everyone’s daily lives. Political battles and discussions drifting away and lost at sea forever more. Oh and glory be, no more talk about ‘Content Marketing’! Just the peaceful yet powerful sound of the ocean. How heavenly! Wiping everything away like hitting a giant reset button. Can you feel that sigh of relief? I know I’m not the only one that feels this way at times. Right?

10336629_10203118499877741_5271892169106041704_n

There could be several reasons a person might feel this way. Having experienced all of these since I personally started Twitter in 2008.

1. No Social Media Goals – No Direction

2. Wrong expectations – Results not coming through fast enough

3. Bad or Wrong Content

4. Not enough Content

5. Wrong Audience – Focusing on numbers instead of a targeted audience

6. Not enough time to get it all done

The list goes on and on.

These negative reasons can be down right frustrating and can lead to notifications that we don’t want. The one’s that consume our valuable time!

The one thing we all have in common is ‘Time’ and I don’t like my time wasted and I know people don’t either.

How can we turn this feeling of wanting to delete the Social Media world into something pleasant and effective? With TOOLS! With the PROPER tools we can turn those unwanted ping notifications into notifications that we do want and need if we’re going to be successful with social media marketing.

What are Proper Tools?

1. Tools that help us locate and connect with our target audience.

2. Tools that help us communicate with our audience.

3. A tool that helps us save time and be more effective.

For those three things I have three tools to share with you!

Looking  for that target audience can be achieved best on Twitter with an amazing tool called ManageFlitter! Sure there is a free version to this software. However, if you are looking to be productive and save time going with the Pro version is the best bet! The power mode on ManageFlitter will give you the ability to find and easily follow the perfect prospect. Narrowing down everything by filters that will give some folks the ability to gain around 100 new followers a day or more.

Second tool for communicating with your audience…. is Hootsuite. This tool can take the chaotic noise out of twitter. With the stream feature you can become very organized in who or what you are following. Replies and Retweets are much smoother and far more visible than working through Twitter itself. Their best time-saving feature  is the Bulk Message Uploader. Again…. you will need to go with the Pro version for this.

Third tool that helps us save time and be more effective is Bundle Post! Social Media Content 1544577_738731136157337_590658856_nManagement System. Easily manage numerous content sources. Efficiently discover, schedule and hashtag curated content in minutes. Consistently share your own marketing messages.  A couple of testimonials from some Bundle Post users

Or how about “We’ve seen a 65% increase in traffic to our website from Facebook since we started using Bundle Post. Even more impressive is the 263% increase in traffic coming from Twitter.

These are three main tools that the BundlePost team uses faithfully. These are the tools that have helped us share content that has created conversations, that has helps us build relationships, that has resulted in ROI!

So don’t Delete the Social Media world quite yet.

There is a path to follow to obtain the results you are looking for.

More BundlePost Upgrades And Added Features Go Live

BundlePost releases new upgradeYou know that huge wish list you have in a spreadsheet somewhere on your computer? The things you would really like to get done that improves your product or service, but might not be the highest priority. Things that make it look better, work better or even just flow better. That list you keep adding to, but never seem to have the time to tackle? Ya that…

BundlePost quietly launched a substantial package of upgraded interface, features and enhancements late last week that had been on our wish list for some time. While a few other large development projects were moving to their next phase, our team focused on some massive improvements that any savvy application user would expect from a social media tool.

What’s New?

Interface – We have unified all navigational buttons across the platform. We chose a clean format that is something you would expect to see in an app of our caliber. We cleaned up a lot of nagging inconsistencies throughout the system with button wording, positioning and sizes. Clean, simple, unified. We think you’ll like it a lot!

Content Search – Yep, we added search across the entire system. Every folder list, content list and table now has a search function right above the table. The search feature will search every post, folder, or list on your screen in realtime and display the matching results as you type.Bundle Post Interface Upgrade

We can’t count how many times we’ve had a My Content marketing post saved, but could not remember the actual text of the post or when we had added it to our marketing message repository in the system. Scrolling through hundreds of posts is no longer a problem.

Column Sorting – We have added column sorting throughout the system. You can click on the column header of any section in BundlePost and sort all information by that column A-Z. The headers toggle Z-A as you click again. Can you say handy?

Upgraded Export Table – Not only have we unified the interface across the board on the main export table, but we have also enhanced the post buttons and more. Here are the main things you will notice;

1) Main Buttons – unified with new button interface design

2) Active schedule displayed – which schedule are you managing content for right now

3) New post action buttons – very clean look and layout.

4) Feed Source Icons – click the feeds drop down to select a feed channel of content and make visual choices faster based on the feed source/type icons appearing next to each feed.

Feed Channels – We also gave the feed channels page itself a needed upgrad, making it more user-friendly and easier on the eyes. All of the other system-wide enhancements can be found within your feed channels page.

With a consistent focus on improving social media management, content curation, scheduling and hashtagging, you will find that these new BundlePost enhancements represent our continual focus on improving the efficiency, effectiveness and results of our users social media marketing. This upgrade lays the foundation for our next system developments you will see in the next few weeks, along with other major innovations to follow.

Stop managing content and start getting real results with your social media marketing!

The Top 50 Hashtags Used In @BundlePost

The top used hashtagsThis week we are releasing the top 50 hashtags being replaced by Bundle Post users. The patent pending hashtag technology within Bundle Post allows users to hashtag up to 100 scheduled social media posts in just about one second. Yes, we said one second.

Background:

Originally as a social media agency, we developed what became the Bundle Post system exclusively for us. We had no intention on creating a product, however it worked so successfully that we knew in a matter of weeks that everyone using social for marketing needed it and we would become a social media software company.

The automated hashtag tool arose out of a few facts.

1) We all know hashtags are extremely important to highlight specific words in a status update, attract your target audience and develop thought leadership on certain topics, among many other reasons.

2) We also know that it is extremely time consuming, not consistent or as effective as it could be, so we developed a system that would resolve these challenges.

How It Works:

The Bundle Post hashtag system has three components.

1) Folders – You can create folders within the system to segment hashtags you wish to use based on clients, topics, campaigns or projects.

2) Keyword/Phrase – Within a folder you can specify the EXACT keyword or phrase you want the system to find in the text of up to 100 scheduled social media posts.

3) Replace – Tell Bundle Post the exact hashtag or @mention you want replaced for each keyword/phrase within a folder.

When you’re managing up to 100 curated or marketing message posts in Bundle Post, you simply call the hashtag folder you wish to run against the scheduled status updates you have on screen and click to “Hashtag Now”. In one second the automated hashtag tool will find all of the exact keywords or phrases contained in the social media posts and replace them with your specified exact hashtag or mention.

With thousands of users and hashtag folders in the Bundle Post database, we are now able to report on the top 50 hashtags being replaced by our users. They are listed below in hashtag popularity order, with the most popular keyword/phrases associated with each specific hashtag.

Scheduled Post Mixing Algorithm Arrives On Bundle Post

In Social Media Efficiency improves time allocation and resultsOne of the features loved by our users is the Randomize/Auto-sort function on the export table. The existing app allows you to randomly scramble up to 100 schedule social media posts with a single click. It’s used to mix up numerous posts you have selected from various RSS feeds, blogs and content curation sources to ensure that you are spreading out the content from various sources or topics throughout each day, rather than grouping them from the same sources consecutively.

The existing Randomize automation feature is truly a random algorithm. Usually some manual drag and drop fine tuning is required to ensure that the 3-5 days of social media posts you are managing are spread out by topic and source of content. The system makes this an easy visual process by color coding all posts differently that are selected from each RSS feed or content source you are using.

Bundle Post Announces The New “Proportional Mix” Tool

Let’s break this down for you in detail…

New Mix Option – This additional sorting option will automatically and intelligently calculate the number of social media posts from the different feed channels you have selected for the export and the number of posts from each of those RSS feed channels and proportionally mix your scheduled posts.

The Mix feature is most useful when you’re scheduling social media posts from numerous feed channels and my content folders, where your export table has two or more colored content groups. When you click the new Mix button, the Bundle Post algorithm with calculate the number of colored posts from each RSS feed source and the percentage of posts as compared to the total number of posts on-screen. It will then mix up your scheduled posts (max 100) proportionally based on the percentages it calculated in the first step. Hit the Mix button once and you’re done!

The result of the new Mix function will be a substantial additional savings in time managing your scheduled, curated and marketing posts. You will need even less time using the drag and drop capability on the export table to ensure that your topical social media posts are evenly spread out across the 3-5 days you are scheduling. We are saving about 5-10 additional minutes on each muti-post scheduled export.

Just like the existing Randomize function, the new Mix feature is for Pro level accounts only.

mixing up curated posts for social media

Existing Auto-Sort – The existing Randomize function will remain active and can be used in conjunction with the new Mix option. Our testing shows that the randomize feature is now best used for content exports that are comprised of posts coming from a single feed, follow friday or my content folder source. For example, if you are doing an export for a specific my content campaign and only using content from that folder for your export, use the randomize function before exporting.

We have labeled the Mix feature as beta for the time being and may continually make improvements based on its use and the feedback from you, our users. Let us know what you think.

P.S. – We would like to thank @W_Goddard of @GoToMarketers for requesting this feature and our BundlePost staff for pushing us hard to get it developed and implemented.

Hashtag Automation Gets An Efficiency Upgrade

The Bundle Post development team has been hard at work on a copious amount of back-end systems upgrades. Many of the things we have been working on are not things you can actually see, but server enhancements and scalability upgrades that are the underlying foundation for the larger feature additions that are in development. There are so many groundbreaking social media management capabilities coming down the pipe in the next several months, but we have to wait to share all that. However, we did roll out a few enhancements to the automated hashtagging functions within the system that we are sure you’re going to appreciate.

Automatically hashtag social media postsFor those of you that are unaware, part of the Bundle Post 20 patent pending claims is our Automated Hashtagging System. This feature enables you to identify exact keywords, phrases and company names that you would like the system to locate in the text of curated and marketing posts, then automatically convert those into replaced hashtags or @mentions you desire. Not only can you schedule 100 content curation and social media posts rapidly with total control over what is scheduled, but you can also hashtag those 100 social media posts in about one second!

Another use for the Bundle Post Hashtag function is to automatically turn company names into their @ Twitter names. You can simple tell the system what exactly to find (example Bundle Post) and instead of replace the company name in the text of the post with a specific hashtag, you can tell the system to replace it with the Twitter name (@BundlePost). So anytime “Bundle Post” appears in the text of a post within the system, it will be modified to display @BundlePost. Pretty cool huh? Yes, we know. :-)

Here’s what the system looks like –

Social media automation, curation and hashtags

With the background explained, lets discuss the enhancements to the hashtag system that is now live for all users.

Bundle Post Auto Hashtag Function Upgrade:

1) Sorting View – Previously when you opened and viewed a Hashtag folder in Bundle Post, the keyword list for that folder were displayed in recent order, putting the most recently added keyword and replacement hashtag at the top. We found this very difficult to easily find keywords and replacement hashtags contained in the folders. Now – when you view a hashtag folder or open a folder to hashtag your scheduled posts, they are all displayed alphabetically. making it easy to find/view specific keywords in your list.

Automated Hashtag Tool

2) Hashtag Order – We have made the actual hashtag system more intelligent to ensure that single word finds aren’t preempted by phrases when you run hashtags in the system. Previously the system would hashtag your scheduled posts in the same sequence in which you added the hashtags into that folder, similar to the old sorting view we described above. What that meant was that if you had a keyword/hashtag for the single word “Social” before the phrase “Social Media” in your hashtag folder, the system would find and hashtag the word “social to #social” then not be able to find the exact phrase “social(space)media”, leaving your posts looking like this: #Social Media is awesome.

The new functionality ensures that whatever sequence you have added keywords or phrases to your hashtag folders, the system will always hashtag phrases with multiple words in them first, then hashtag single words after that. The new intelligent function tracts all of your hashtags listed and determines how many words you have in each Find field and uses that information to intelligently automate the hashtagging of your scheduled posts.

What you will potentially find is that keywords that were not being hashtagged even though you had them listed in your folder are now being discovered properly by the system. You will also be able to more easily manage the keywords and hashtags within Bundle Post to ensure your posts are always hashtagged and done so properly.

The Bundle Post social media marketing, content curation and content management tool is a completely unique approach that gives you complete control of your posts and gives you the time to engage and get results. All of the automation resides in the back office, so nothing is auto posted to your newsfeeds.

We would love to hear your thoughts on the new hashtag functions, so comment below on how you’re using the Bundle Post hashtag system.

*BONUS System upgrades live -> You will also notice that we have incorporated a lot of JavaScript functionality into the user interface across the entire system that has largely removed the need for your browser to refresh. We will continue to incorporate more of this higher level functionality and improve the overall user experience, speed and capabilities.

100% Year Over Year Sales Growth Exclusively Through Social Media – You Can Too!

Is it possible for a small startup company with little funding to succeed exclusively through social media marketing?

Can social media really achieve ROI (return on investment) no matter how crowded their industry space is?

The question of ROI, huge sales and revenue growth for an organization built exclusively on social media marketing as its one and only marketing channel is constantly a topic of discussion online. Many are now writing articles that suggest a change of focus toward less measurable things like branding, exposure or some other old school marketing lingo that simply replaces real results with a lot of flashy terminology.

100 percent sales, revenue and user growth The answer is a definitive YES!  You can get ROI and more than 100% sales and revenue growth each year. How do we know? We’ve done it. We would like to make it official.

Today Bundle Post is announcing that it has achieved over 100% sales, revenue and user base growth in less than 12 months!

Do you think we are a little excited? Of course we are. shouldn’t we be? We have not even done a single social or online ad whatsoever.

You can do this too!

So the question becomes, how does a social media technology startup that is self-funded and in one of the most crowded spaces online compete with companies that have millions in venture funding?

Below you will find six keys to an effective social media program. We also include links to more detail on specific items within each section. So let’s take a peek under the hood…

1) Start Early –

You can’t wait to start your social media marketing when you have your site, product or ducks all nicely in a row. You need to have built a community well before you launch your actual product or service if you are going to be effective launching it in social media. So you have to start early and build a community that knows you BEFORE you are ready to go to market.

Already launched, now what?

If you have already launched your company or service, you’ve GOT to work over time. Growing your community size is every bit important as anything else in social media. This has to be a constant and active part of what you are doing.

WHY?

You have to have a large enough audience to make social media effective. Think of radio or TV advertising. Although it is mass market, direct advertising and anything but social, it’s about the numbers. Social media marketing is about the numbers too, but not only the numbers. It’s also social. You must find your target audience and connect with them. In essence you need to take an active role in growing your audience on a daily basis and not just building your profiles and hoping they will come.

But this alone doesn’t make social media effective. It’s just a single spoke in the wheel.

2) Stay Consistent – In social media, there is nothing more important than consistency. Just like in sports, if a team is really good at something, but not consistently, they struggle to win. You need to be consistent will all of your social media components if you expect to see results.

Here are a few things to be consistent at:

  • Selfless Value – Share enough relevant, valuable content every day, all day that is interesting to your target audience.
  • Be Grateful – Thank people who share your posts. Do it always and do it quickly.

3) Strategy – You need to know exactly where you are going and how you indeed on getting there. Get this wrong and you’ll be in trouble. You need to get it right and stick to it! In social, we call that strategy.

Know these 5 things:

  • What is the specific and realistic objective of your social media program.
  • Who exactly are you trying to reach. (no time to be general. Think geographic, psychographic and demographic)
  • What are they interested in? (that’s what you need to post content about)
  • What brands/people have already built a following of your intended audience? (Follow their following)
  • How often do I plan to proactively engage with my intended audience DAILY?

4) Always Respond –

One of the biggest mistakes we see being made in social media is slow or no response from accounts. When you are mentioned, tagged or your posts are shared, you not only need to respond, but you need to do it rapidly. When someone engages with your brand or content you posted, they are there, right at that moment. Missing the opportunity to have a conversation is limited by the length of time you take to respond.

Ignoring connections that engage with your brand is a death sentence. Over time, they stop. Do this at your own peril.

5) Be Known For Something –

You don’t just DO social media and magically get results. Having an effective social media program involves really understanding your audience, the topics that interest them and the challenges they have that you help with. If you truly understand these things about your potential and current customers, you will know the topics you need to be known for posting about. This is called “thought leadership” in social media.

Beyond subject matters, be known for your engagement, gratitude and response. Better yet, follow our lead and also be known for your Customer Support. We are constantly and publicly acknowledged for our support response, willingness to help and hands on approach. Mimic this and make it not only a priority, but part of your company culture. You will thank me later.

6) Earn Relationships –

Before you start posting your marketing stuff in your feeds, be sure you have real, selfless value in them. A small percentage of what you post on a daily basis should be about you and what you do. The largest number of posts should be what we discussed in number 2 above. Curate content that is valuable to your audience and earn the right to pitch your wares by first doing that and responding to the conversations that result.

Building relationships is a process. Providing selfless value is the method. ~

Does this seem like a lot? Well, it is. There’s an enormous amount involved in running an effective social media marketing program. Your social media management, tools and workflow are the essential components that must work together effortlessly. For us and many other social media marketers, brands and agencies, Bundle Post is the glue that makes them all converge.

Upgraded Dashboard, User Interface and Wizards Added To Bundle Post

On the heels of the largest upgrade we have ever released, Bundle Post 3.0 has received incredible visibility, user base growth and praise from new and existing users alike. We have taken the feedback garnered from our users and focused our attention on the things that make an already powerful system even more so. Continuing down the path of constant improvement, the Bundle Post team is again addressing additional elements of our application surrounding ease of use and support.

Social Media Easy ButtonBundle Post is the most comprehensive back-office social media curation and marketing platform on the market today. The Patent Pending power it delivers can also come with complexity and a learning curve that is a barrier to some. So immediately following the launch of 3.0, the Bundlet Post team spent hours pouring over notes from user feedback as well as reporting data showing areas within the system that our new and existing users have the most trouble understanding and executing easily. This release addresses those areas and results in a far more intuitive and resourceful interface.

Addressed in this release are six main enhancements that make the Bundle Post social media content management tool even easier:

1) Main navigation redesign – Some of the challenges that we discovered users experiencing were found in the main navigation bar at the top of every page within the system. The two most frequent things we heard from new users about this part of the system were – A) Where do I click to Export scheduled content? and B) Where are my settings and account information?

Sometimes the simplest solution is best. Here’s how we addressed these concerns:

navigationbar

The navigation bar has been changed slightly to highlight the two most frequent issues. The common “settings gear” has been added to easily identify the account settings and dashboard link and it has been located at the far right where most applications place this function. We have also highlighted the Export function within the navigation making it very obvious for all users.

2) Dashboard redesign – One of the worst pages within the Bundle Post system was the Dashboard. There was little on the page that provided value and what was valuable was extremely difficult to find and understand.

New Bundle Post Dashboard

The new Dashboard has been completely redesigned to provide a clean interface that makes it easy to manage your account and get help when you need it.

3) Dashboard Setup wizard – We have created an intuitive setup wizard for the dashboard that walks you through setting up your Bundle Post account, step by step. The wizard was designed to seamlessly walk you through the steps needed to get every aspect of your account created. Here’s how it works:

When you hit the dashboard for the first time, the setup wizard will be automatically maximized, showing step one (Sign Up) has been completed. Putting your cursor over the next step will display instructions for what the next step is. Clicking on a step will take you directly to that part of the system.

The setup wizard will also track your progress and check off the steps you have completed, all the way through to exporting scheduled content. Once you have completed an export, the dashboard setup wizard will automatically minimize for you from that point forward. If you would like to use the wizard again, or add a team member, you can always click the Setup [+] text to maximize the wizard again.

4) Account settings and support enhancements – In keeping with a more organized and clean interface on the dashboard, you now have three clear sections containing the information you need. We start off by clarifying any confusion of your username by displaying it at the very top of the dashboard. We then created three sections in the middle of the dashboard page that groups information for you.

Account Section: In the new account section we remind you of your account type and give you links to the various aspects of your profile that you can manage. Email preferences and compare plan links have been added to give you control over everything in one place.

Notices: The notices section will inform you of new features, our latest blog posts and system maintenance expectations as necessary. Our goal is to keep you informed on the latest improvements in the simplest way possible.

Support: Finally, the support sections has been added to give you access to the most common videos and help files used in the system. We also coded a new contact support form that improves the information we receive from you when you contact us for help with fields that auto-fill when allowable. We are very well-known for our incredible customer support, but we wanted to make it even better.

Social Media Video Training5) Social media marketing training – So you’re new to social media marketing or you are struggling with an element of your social media results? We now have a comprehensive solution for you. The last link in the support section will take you to a page that contains 6 one hour social media marketing training videos. This free training series will walk you through a complete course on social media marketing, giving the beginner a solid foundation and the professional additional tools and insight to be even more effective. Check it out and let us know what you think.

6) Instructional page wizards – We continued the setup wizard functionality across all sections of the system to ensure that users understand and can easily utilize the functionality, without having to read help files or watch videos.

Setup Help Wizard

Wherever you are inside of Bundle Post, you will see the Help graphic and the Setup [+] text. If you have not yet added anything new to that section of the system it will automatically maximize the steps for you. Hovering on each step will give you the details you need to know about each step. Simple, effective and intuitive.

The intent and focus of this release is to make the power of Bundle Post easier for new users and more effective for our experienced customers. Our hope is that these improvements help you get the most out of the application and realize a massive improvement in efficiency, effectiveness and profitability within your social media marketing efforts.

Let us know what you think!
